In the past year my cladding has taken a beating 1) a hit and run left a scratch down the drivers side 2) Rock dings in the front bumper cover from FL road construction 3) shopping cart dings at the Wally World and 4) just recently A piece of tire tread knocked a section of my cladding off. It was time for a stripping and repainting of my cladding.

I have been scanning and watching the threads pretty intensely as far as a good body shop goes. Average prices were 3-5K and entailed a trip to GA. I didn't have these type of funds and I didn't have enuf vacation time to make a trip so I looked for something closer.

When I first came to FL I did some searching and found Carsmetics In Orange Park to be the most affordable. I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for so their low prices made me skeptical. Especially, after talking to many of you one on one. I have been in an out of their shop for 7 months. I looked at many of their finished jobs firsthand and I decided to take a chance on them. The Manager Dave Arnett provided excellent customer service and never did I feel like OMG it's him again kicking the tires but not bringing a vehicle in. If customer service is important then this guy excels at it. I have yet to see my finished Av but I have high expectations.

The last time my cladding was painted I didn't know about CAFCNA or ever seen a tricked out Avalanche. I thought I was a rare breed. I had it painted to match the rest of my truck Victory Red but I left the texture. This go around I'm smoothing the cladding and getting my White Night back up light painted to match. Most of you have seen my before pics and if you've been to Crystal River, Huntsville, or a NEFL lunch you've seen my Av "Rosie" first hand. Hello my name is George I'm an attention whore and Av-o-holic I won't bother with before pics but if you want em pm me and I'll post them.

I did speak in-depth to the manager about how come their price was so low. I am paying $1603 out the door (includes the extra pieces I wanted done and tax). He said that his employees are salary and a job like this is fun for his guys. A treat you might say. Hourly shop rates don't apply to business situation. They can do a better job and a better price. He convinced me and I'll find out shortly how good his work is.

Just wanted you to know that I had to take my car to the Carsmetics on Idlewild because a woman backed into my bumper and she wanted to handle it directly. While the car was there I also had them take care of three dings. It was such a great experience and the did a great job. They were so nice. I had my car back in a day and the car looks brand new.
